For years I told myself I wanted to lose weight but never had the real motivation to do it! I wanted to be skinny, but I didn’t want to work out or eat healthy. I spent too many years binge eating and drinking without any results. I tried different trainers but inevitably would give up and go back to my regular life. Well, two years ago I decided to give it one last chance and one more trainer.

Kayla and I have known each other for years so when I noticed that she had become a personal trainer I thought, why not give it another shot! Let me tell you, this girl has the patience of a saint. I cancelled more sessions than I attended at the beginning and barely followed her food plan. One day in January, I woke up and decided that 2019 was going to be my year. At this time, I didn’t realize how much of an impact Kayla was going to have on my physical and mental health.

One of the reasons I love her so much as a coach is that she takes the time to find out what works for each individual person!! She took the time to look into how my health problems can affect my nutrition and exercise plan. She tailored a nutrition and exercise plan that inevitably helped me lose close to 50 pounds. She made me feel so comfortable in our sessions that she pretty much became my therapist. She gave me the strength to walk into a gym full of people and feel confident with every step I take. I can’t thank her enough for helping me become the best version of myself. If you are looking to take that first step, then this is the girl you want in your corner!! HIGHLY recommend.

Kayla trained me throughout my pregnancy and after my baby was born. From when I was 3 months pregnant, she got me into a challenging and motivating strength building program that prepared my body for giving birth. I was so strong when I gave birth to my baby that despite an emergency C section, I was up and moving the day after! The nurses in the maternity ward couldn’t believe it. Not only did Kayla provide safe strength-building while I was pregnant – with her help and encouragement, I also lost all 40 lbs of baby weight! I’m back in my size 4 jeans again less than a year after my baby was born!

That being said, her guidance on nutrition and exercise have also allowed me to adopt a more healthy mindset to eating and working out that is centred around being healthy and strong and not on the number on the scale. Having Kayla as my trainer was one of the best decisions I’ve made. She is very dedicated in helping her clients reach their fitness goals. Not only does she come up with great and challenging workouts, but she also provides nutritional advice and was committed to making sure I stayed on track. While training with Kayla, I was able to lose weight and at the same time gained my confidence back. With each session, she challenged me to reach my full potential and she truly wants to see her clients succeed.

I worked with Kayla for a few months when I was a bit stalled in my fitness journey. I was a bit of a self-starter in the fitness world and figured a lot of things out as I went. That worked for me for a while but then I started to stall and was feeling like I wanted to step up my game, learn more complex workouts and push myself to start lifting heavier and eating better to lower my body fat percentage. Over the course of three months I got into the best shape of my life. I felt amazing and was stronger than ever! I also walked away from that experience with the knowledge and experience to continue my fitness journey on my own and knowing that she would always be in my corner and could be someone I could go to for help again in the future.

I don’t think you could’ve come into my life at such a perfect time. When I thought I had hit rock bottom and wouldn’t get out, there was your hand to help me out. You pushed me until I cried, laughed, yelled, sweated and danced and for that I’m so grateful. Getting healthier and looking better was such a small bonus of meeting you, because now I have someone that I can look up to and keep me accountable. Thank you for being the bad ass, loud and beautiful person you are. Love you lots.

Working out regularly has been linked to fewer symptoms of anxiety and depression as when we work out it gives us endorphins leaving us feeling happy and energized.

Regular exercise has been found to increase immunity to sickness. It could rid your airway of bacteria that leads to colds.

It helps your body produce more antibodies to help fight off infections and disease. Physical activity may help flush the bacteria out of the lungs and airways.
